Denver Whaley
In the heart of Salt Lake City, Denver Whaley emerges as a vibrant young artist whose journey with ceramics began in August 2023. A student at Juan Diego Catholic High School, this 17-year-old discovered more than just a skill in her ceramics class - she found a profound connection to creativity and possibility.
What initially started as a competitive pursuit quickly transformed into a deep passion. Denver sees clay not merely as a medium, but as a mystical conduit for understanding the world's intricate mysteries. Her approach to pottery transcends technical mastery, revealing a spiritual connection to the creative process.
Through her art, Denver aspires to create meaningful change, viewing her ceramic work as a powerful tool for community engagement and global transformation. Her vision extends beyond the pottery wheel, embodying a belief that artistic expression can be a catalyst for positive impact.
Fun Fact: As an apprentice under Brandon Berrett, we're building a secret super-adobe art studio in the woods.

Throughout my young life, I have navigated both extraordinary highs and profound lows, embracing the unpredictable beauty of the human experience. In this journey, I’ve discovered that the most magical individuals are often those who dedicate themselves to creative pursuits.
As a committed athlete on the path to becoming a D1 prospect, I learned early on the invaluable role of mentorship—not just from those passionate about their sport, but from those who inspire others to become their best selves.
Despite facing numerous Adverse Childhood Experiences that derailed many of my closest friends and loved ones, I found solace and guidance in mentors who served as magical extensions of my soul family. They have illuminated my path to this moment, and for that, I am eternally grateful to my ceramics mentors and all those who paved the way before me.
